Range Rider #8

The Range Rider pursues a criminal to Muskrat Ridge after discovering fresh hoofprints from a fast-moving horse. There he encounters Duncan and Joshua, who are attempting to break into a vault containing a locked safe with a combination dial. The Range Rider reunites with an old acquaintance, Dick West, and learns that Steadman's letter directed them to the Range Rider's saddle bags, which had contained crucial evidence they were seeking. Steadman is being held captive in the cellar, and the Range Rider must work to secure his release while Dick West reveals he plans to sell some land in El Paso the following day.
