# Range Rider #16 The issue contains two stories. In "Dust Storm," a man named Mace Crenshaw is pursued across the desert by Sheriff Clay Johnson, who believes Mace killed a man in Tucson. As a dust storm obscures the landscape, Johnson catches up to Mace and attempts to shoot him, but Johnson ultimately discovers that Mace is innocent—the real killer has already been apprehended back in Tucson, and Johnson had simply been unaware until finding Mace on the trail. In the second story, Range Rider's friend Dick West heads to the Richards Ranch in hopes of meeting up with Range Rider, but Range Rider fails to appear; Dick and others speculate about what may have delayed him, though Dick continues toward the ranch hoping for a lucky encounter.
