The sixth volume in Soleil's collected edition of Rahan — Fils des Âges Farouches brings together more prehistoric adventures from the team of R. Lécureux and A. Chéret. The cover, rendered in moody, atmospheric line work, plunges us into a dark swampland where the blond, spear-wielding Rahan wades cautiously through murky water, a glowing torch held aloft to pierce the surrounding gloom — every shadow hinting at unseen danger. It's a beautifully tense image that captures why this Franco-Belgian series has endured as one of the great adventure strips.
