The issue also includes an adventure serial featuring characters Jack, Mary, and Lin Tai in a tropical setting where they battle a Malayan tiger and shark while searching for a mysterious treasure box.
Norman Wisdom attempts to take shelter under an umbrella shop's sign during a rainstorm, but the shop owner has other ideas—he'll need to buy an umbrella if he wants protection. What follows is a series of comedic mishaps as Norman tries out his new purchase, from being lifted off his feet by a sudden gust of wind to the shop owner's attempts to teach him the "proper" way to use it, with increasingly ridiculous results.
Jack Gledbourne stakes his life's savings on an expedition to find a legendary treasure on a remote Pacific island, only to find himself caught between danger and treachery when he encounters the sinister Lin Tal. As Mary becomes entangled in the island's perils—including a brush with a man-eating shark—Jack must fight to protect her and uncover what this expedition will truly cost him.
