The second volume of Tony Valente's Radiant makes quite an impression, its cover dominated by a pale, shirtless figure in a sweeping black hat and dark trousers, finger raised to lips in a conspiratorial hush while a glowing staff rests in the other hand. The bold blue swooshes framing the character give the whole composition a kinetic, stylish energy that feels right at home in this French manga adventure. If this cover is any indication, Valente has a sharp eye for cool character design and dynamic presentation.
