In "Asylum," a triangular meteor captured by a space station sets off a chain of startling events when Captain Kelly discovers a walnut-shaped object inside. As tensions rise and mysterious beeps echo through the lab, an explosion rocks the station—followed by a cascade of chaos that culminates in Captain Kelly witnessing a space creature clinging to a relic Sputnik satellite, reuniting with the walnut before vanishing into the void aboard the meteor. Written and illustrated by Jack Kirby, with inks by Marvin Stein and lettering by Joe Rosen and Artie Simek, this 2016 release from Canton Street Press features cover art by Kirby and Stein, delivering a classic, eerie sci-fi mystery with a distinctly Kirby-esque flair.

A triangular meteor is captured and brought on board a space station. Captain Kelly cuts into the meteor and finds a walnut shaped object inside. Major General Holt cautions Kelly against thinking they've found life. The lab technician investigates further but then there's a beep-beep sound and an explosion rocks the lab. There are more explosions accompanied by the beeps. Kelly is outside and sees an old Sputnik satellite which is beeping and then sees a space creature clinging to it.
