The second volume of Quest — subtitled Der Protest des Fischerkönigs — brings together a wonderfully mismatched trio on its cover: a bespectacled kid in a red hoodie and baseball cap wielding an oversized golden-hilted sword, a green-haired companion conjuring shimmering magical sparks, and an endearingly scruffy dog nestled between them. Above the moonlit forest, silhouettes of riders and a strange vehicle race across the sky, hinting at the bigger adventure unfolding around them. Created by Frédéric Maupomé and Wauter Mannaert, this 2025 Reprodukt release looks like charming, imaginative fare for anyone who loves their fantasy with a healthy dose of heart.
