A sharply dressed man grips a pistol with cool determination while a mysterious woman in red lingers at his shoulder — and looming over them both is an enormous, blood-red octopus against a hazy crimson cityscape. Warnauts and Raives bring striking noir atmosphere to this third volume of Purple Heart, subtitled "De eed van de octopus" ("The Oath of the Octopus"), blending hard-boiled tension with something far more unsettling. If this cover is any indication, 2022's Le Lombard lineup had one of its most visually arresting entries right here.
