Punks Not Dead #3

David Barnett and Martin Simmonds' IDW/Black Crown series rolls into its third issue with a cover that practically buzzes with attitude — a young punk woman with a spiked headband, tearstained cheeks, and a tongue stud stares out defiantly, her face pressed close alongside another figure partially visible behind her. Simmonds' painted artwork crackles with energy, layering a checkerboard background against bold red typography stamped with an anarchy symbol. "Wide Awake in a Dream" promises that Punks Not Dead is keeping its sharp, irreverent edge firmly intact in 2018.
