Filemón le pìde a Mortadelo que compre un perro policía para que les ayude en su negocio. Mortadelo va por la calle y encuentra a un señor que tiene un perro policía y lo compra sin dudarlo. Se lo enseña a su feje y no le parece mal pero al poco desaparece del despacho. Van a policía y este les dice que el "perro policía" es un timo recurrente que están haciendo a varios incautos. Al falta de perro, Filemón le obliga a Mortadelo que se disfrace de uno para que resuelva un caso.
