In "Barn av lyset og mørket," Jean Grey returns to Earth as the Dark Phoenix, drawn back to confront the X-Men and the life she once knew. After a brutal clash with her former teammates, Xavier’s desperate assault breaks the Phoenix’s hold, restoring Jean to herself—only for the entire team to vanish without a trace as the battle ends.

In "Gjenfødelse i flammer," the X-Men face a desperate fight against the X-Sentinels to rescue their captured teammates. With the space station crumbling around them, Jean must take control of the shuttle’s return to Earth—knowing the immense psychic strain may cost her everything.

In the wake of a crash landing in Jamaica Bay, Jean Grey awakens transformed, her powers flaring as the Phoenix stirs within. To help her regain control, Professor X sends the X-Men—save for Cyclops—on a retreat to Scotland, where Banshee has inherited his family’s ancestral castle. The team arrives to find the estate already occupied by Sean’s cousin Tom and his friend Juggy, setting the stage for an uneasy reunion of old and new.
