A haunting winter forest stretches across this seventh installment of Prometheus, where a group of armed soldiers advances cautiously through snow-laden trees toward a blindingly radiant, elongated alien figure — the tension between human firepower and something clearly beyond it rendered in striking blues and whites by cover artist Benoît Springer. Subtitled "De theorie van de 100e aap," this 2015 Daedalus edition promises the kind of unsettling first-contact atmosphere that writer Christophe Bec and artist Stefano Raffaele have made their signature. If you've been following this series, that luminous silhouette alone is reason enough to pick this one up.
