Sideshow fat man, Fred Dukes, is actually a mutant and is invited by Professor X to become one of the X-Men. The Blob scoffs at the offer and returns to the circus to take it over, thanks to the newfound confidence that he is superior rather than inferior as he once believed. Blob leads the circus performers in an attack on X-Mansion but Xavier wipes his mind of the knowledge that he is a mutant and he returns to the life of a circus freak.
