The issue opens with a Native American character on horseback being pursued through the night, discovering at dawn that enemies are after him and devising a strategy to outrun them by pushing his pony faster to tire his pursuers. A second story involves two hired hands, Lacey and Farley, who stake a claim on high-grade ore near an old mine shaft, then must defend their discovery against Morley and others who pursue them across the desert landscape. The issue also includes advertisements for the Motor's "Trouble Shooter" auto repair guide and instructional materials.
