Prize Comics #5 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Power Nelson Futureman" shows the superhero dealing with criminals in combat. "Buck Brady of the F.B.I." begins when Buck Brady is awakened by a distress call from Cherry Street in the middle of the night, leading him to investigate a mysterious situation. "The Black Owl" features the masked vigilante rescuing a woman from a monster and pursuing the creature across a fairground, where he confronts gangsters in a gondola and fights to stop them from escaping. "Storm Curtis," illustrated by Ted O'Neil, is also featured in the issue.
