Akira Hiramoto's Prison School keeps its irreverent energy going strong with volume 20 from Soleil Manga, and the cover makes quite an impression — a wide-eyed, glasses-wearing young woman in a striped top stares out in pure shock, hands raised to her gaping mouth in a moment of delirious disbelief. It's a perfectly absurd snapshot of the manga's signature brand of over-the-top reaction humor, rendered with Hiramoto's characteristically expressive linework.
