Prince Valiant #1

Prince Valiant aspires to become a knight like Sir Lancelot and must first catch one of the wild horses that roam the dunes, which he accomplishes through patient skill and ingenuity over many days. In a subsequent adventure, Prince Valiant encounters Sir Gawain and the Plotters, who trick him into accepting a false quest; when their deception is revealed, a forest battle ensues where Valiant learns he is no match for experienced knights. In a third episode, the Baron Baldon and Sir Osmond kidnap Prince Valiant and force him to help them escape King Arthur's castle, but during their escape through the castle moat, Valiant abandons them and swims to safety while soldiers search the water for him.
