Prez #3
DC's sharp political satire continues in Prez #3, where the cover — penciled and inked by Ben Caldwell — frames a young woman with pale braided hair raising her hand as an older man in a dark suit administers what appears to be a digitized oath of office, complete with a tablet displaying a "Holy Bible" app, user ratings, and a "Buy Now!" prompt. Looming behind them in bold red linework is a massive mechanical figure marked "USSP," giving the scene an uneasy grandeur that perfectly captures the series' near-future satirical edge. With Mark Russell writing and a story titled "Adventures in Cabinetry," this 2015 issue promises the same wry, pointed commentary on power and technology that makes Prez such a distinctive corner of the DC universe.
