Power Pack #9

The young heroes of Power Pack find themselves in serious trouble on this April 1985 cover, as the four siblings are scattered and fighting desperately against an enormous purple serpent or dragon-creature whose gaping maw dominates the composition. Brent Anderson and Bob Wiacek deliver a wonderfully kinetic image, with one child rendered in ghostly white, another blazing with a burst of energy, and the others tumbling through a swirling rainbow-hued sky. Paired with the story title "Fish Tale!", this issue promises that Louise Jones has cooked up something wild and imaginative for Marvel's pint-sized super-team.
