Part of DC's 2024 Dawn of DC initiative, Power Girl #4 subtitled "Trapped in the Machine" presents a deeply unsettling image courtesy of cover artist Gary Frank: Power Girl herself appears restrained and hollow-eyed, her glowing red pupils and pallid complexion suggesting something has gone terribly wrong, while mechanical arms and technological apparatus loom around her in a cold, clinical environment. The tagline says it all — whatever she's caught in, escape won't be easy. With Leah Williams writing and Eduardo Pansica on interior art, this series continues to push Kara Zor-L into genuinely compelling new territory.
