Power Comics #3 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Chin Chop" depicts a Chinese mother taking her mischievous son to the dentist, where the boy causes chaos and attempts to escape. "Science Solves a Crime" follows Detective Richard Vines as he investigates the murder of railroad employee Thomas Sloan, using scientific examination of the body and evidence to determine that Sloan was killed by an axe blow to the head, ultimately uncovering the culprit among those close to the victim. "Merlin and the Boy Magician" shows Merlin and a young magician confronting a villain known as Senior Merlin, with action sequences including flying and combat scenes.
