Porky Pig #55

Porky Pig suits up as a Royal Canadian Mountie for "The Misfit Mounties," and the cover by Phil De Lara makes a wonderfully charming first impression — Porky lounges contentedly in a hammock formed by the enormous antlers of a very patient, somewhat bemused moose resting beneath him. It's a delightfully silly setup that captures the warm, gentle humor Dell brought to its Looney Tunes titles in 1957, with Tony Strobl and John Liggera handling the interior art.
