In Popular Comics #63 (1941), a 60-cent comic of its time, Jack faces a crisis when Cotton Lee destroys his plane and strips him of his pilot’s license—just as his sister’s crush on Cotton complicates things further. With a chance to escape the situation, Jack takes a risky offer from the mysterious Teekeela to fly in Mexico, only to discover the cargo he’s transporting is far more dangerous than he ever imagined. Written and drawn by Zack Mosley, with additional art and inks by Boody Rogers and lettering by Rogers, the cover by Boody Rogers captures the high-stakes tension of a story that blurs the line between adventure and peril.
