Segar's classic Popeye newspaper strips from 1932 to 1934, featuring the spinach-guzzling sailor's adventures with Olive Oyl, Wimpy, and the Sea Hag. The book includes the debut of the Jeep and the introduction of Popeye's ne'er-do-well father, Poopdeck Pappy, as well as the famous 'Plumb-Pudding' storyline. This hardcover edition presents the strips in full color, with restored artwork and historical annotations by comics historian Bill Blackbeard.
