This issue of Polly Pigtails is an anthology featuring multiple content types. "Tempest in a Tree House" (continued from page 6) follows Tibby and her friends as they discuss a tree house and encounter a police officer who catches them eating peanuts at what appears to be a zoo, leading to their being taken away. The magazine also includes a "September Showers" crossword puzzle themed around weather and storms, and an instructional feature by Carol Robb titled "Furnish Your Own Clubhouse," which provides step-by-step directions for building furniture such as chairs, a sofa, a desk, and a table from orange crates and basic tools for a clubhouse or gathering space.
