Pokereiland #9

Michele Condosta's Pokereiland continues with volume 9, "Het bedrog" (The Deception), and this 2023 Arboris release delivers a cover that immediately sets the tension. A wide-eyed young boy sits cross-legged at the center, clutching a glowing violet orb marked with a spade symbol, while two enormous demonic presences — one dark and one crimson, both with burning red eyes — loom and close in around him from either side amid swirling roses. The contrast between the small, vulnerable child and the overwhelming supernatural forces surrounding him makes for a quietly unsettling image that promises plenty of intrigue within.
