Gloria is a classical pianist who is presented as a fourteen-year-old 'child star' by her mother and manager, even though she is seventeen. Tired of having to pretend to be a little girl, Gloria escapes via train to Teen Town based on a newspaper advertisement. There she uses a false name and claims to have just worked her passage to England from Australia.
