DC's gloriously goofy horror-humor anthology wraps up its run in style with this 1976 Giant edition that salutes the Bicentennial with a cover promising to send you "PLOP out of your mind." David Manak and Joe Orlando's cover delivers the laughs in three punchy panels: a giant gorilla scales city skyscrapers, growling menacingly at a plane — only to abandon the whole monster-rampage business the moment a giant banana appears. Inside, Sergio Aragonés brings his inimitable cartooning energy to "The Kicking Man!" alongside a script from Steve Skeates, making this a fine send-off for one of DC's most cheerfully unhinged titles.
