The Presidential Commission orders Dr. Lewis Dixon and Dr. Stevie Branton to take Cornelius and Zira to the mysterious Camp Eleven, there to be supervised by Dr. Otto Hasslein. At the camp the apes are subject to interrogation; the apes explain how apes came to rule the world. Under the effect of sodium pentothal, Zira provides information to the commission that the commission considers horrific. She confesses to knowing Colonel Taylor and to seeing Lieutenant Dodge stuffed and mounted in an ape museum. The commission rules that Zira and Cornelius may live, but their baby must be killed.
