Planet Comics #29 is an anthology featuring multiple science fiction and adventure stories. "Dragon-Raiders of Aztla" follows a character named Ted who encounters a grotesque, ape-like creature on a strange planet and must navigate through a temple with heavy doors to escape, while discovering a spacecraft and encountering native warriors. Another story involves explorers discovering an uninhabited planet and encountering green natives near a fire, after which they encounter a character named Rovo who rules a glittering castle and whose guests mysteriously disappear, revealing a sinister plot beneath the surface. The issue also includes "Hunt Bowman on the Lost World" and other tales of weird adventures on future worlds.

In the ruins of a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, adventurer Hunt Bowman and his companion Lyssa stumble upon a primitive warrior tribe descended from Earth's survivors—one that lives in thrall to a mysterious, unseen "Invisible One" who demands tribute of maidens every decade. When Lyssa is captured and Hunt forced to choose between his life and hers, he must infiltrate the tribe's camp and confront the strange power that holds an entire civilization in its grip. This tale of ancient temples, lost technology, and a terrible hidden god unfolds across the crumbled remains of Hollywood itself.
