Pinky and the Brain #2

A medieval caper is afoot in this August 1996 issue, as Brain — decked out in Arthurian regalia — triumphantly hoists Excalibur from the stone before a banner-draped Camelot castle, while a wide-eyed Pinky exclaims "Egad, Brain, you were right! Pulling the sword from the stone did make you the King!" The cover art by Walter Carzon and Mike DeCarlo captures the duo's signature dynamic perfectly: Brain's scheming self-satisfaction versus Pinky's delighted bewilderment. With a story cheekily titled "Excalibrain" and the creative team of Bobbi JG Weiss and David Cody Weiss on script, this issue promises the mice's trademark blend of grand ambition and glorious absurdity.
