The Polish edition of this French graphic novel arrives in 2002 courtesy of Egmont Polska, bringing Éric Corbeyran's story "Cienie" (Shadows) to life with art by Richard Guérineau and colors by Isabelle Merlet. The cover, penciled and inked by Guérineau, sets a tense, layered mood: in the foreground a grim-faced man in a tan coat grips a handgun, flanked by three watchful figures including a uniformed officer, while looming above them in stark silhouette two dark figures clash with bladed weapons in a violent, mid-air struggle. It's a striking composition that balances grounded human drama against something far more dangerous lurking just out of the light.
