Benson and Co. is going to celebrate fifty years in business with a huge party and pop star Jimmy Farrow is going to be the star attraction. All the girls who work there are invited to enter a competition to pick a party queen. At the urging of her boss, Ruth enters and is selected. For Ruth, Jimmy Farrow has been the man of her dreams, but he moves too fast to be sincere. Later she discovers that he is actually engaged to another girl. Meanwhile, Ruth has been oblivious to the attraction her boss has for her.
