After Carol sprains her ankle during a dance rehearsal, the backer of the show promises her job will be safe. Days later he apologizes for a mix-up which leaves her unemployed and invites her to stay as a guest at his family estate. They are attracted to each other, but the man's younger brother and an actress who wants the older brother for herself, plot to keep them apart. The younger brother hints at a dark secret in his brother's past, but even he doesn't know the truth about it.
