Kath learns that Stephen is still alive, but has lost his memory. Although her marriage had not been a happy one, she finds that he seems different now. Still unable to remember her, they fall in love and start over. Then Stephen's twin brother shows up and Kath is horrified to discover that she had previously married Nick, who had pretended to be Stephen.
