“June and the Jokers”

In "June and the Jokers," June—well-known columnist for Girls Club magazine—finds herself at the center of a playful deception when her friends plan a fake awards ceremony at Lord Hombely's mansion, now under new ownership by bankers. With a busy and absent-minded agent facilitating the arrangements, things get complicated when the same venue is also booked for a high-profile party for foreign dignitaries, leaving June unaware that the real event has nothing to do with her. A lighthearted mix-up unfolds in this 1968 installment, written in typeset lettering.
