Traveling as a nurse-companion for Sylvia, Mary is stranded on the train when Sylvia sends her off to get a glass of water while Sylvia sneaks off at the stop just before the train pulls out. Mary gathers Sylvia's belongings and plans to get off at the next stop, but the train derails. Another passenger sees to her safety after the accident. From Sylvia's belongs, he assumes Mary is actually Sylvia and takes her home to stay with his wealthy family. Mary knows she should correct his case of mistaken identity, but keeps postponing it as they start falling in love with each other.
