When Jill, still mourning her late fiancé Albert, encounters a stranger named Mark who bears an uncanny resemblance to him, the past begins to blur with the present. The emotional weight of loss and the fragile hope of new connection unfold in a story rendered with tender, evocative art—both in the interior pages and on Vicente Roso’s moody cover.

Jill was engaged to be married to Albert, but he was killed as he was driving to London in the rain to buy her a brooch. More than a year later, Jill is still having difficulty dealing with the tragedy. But one day, when a young man driving a car stops to ask her directions to the library, she faints because of his uncanny resemblance to Albert. Later, as she sees more of Mark, she begins to fall in love with him. But Mark wonders if she loves him for himself or because he reminds her of Albert.
