Pierre Bailly and Céline Fraipont deliver another delightfully absurd Petit Poilu adventure with Dans la bouche de Profitroll — and the cover says it all: our spiky little hero and a small mouse in a striped shirt find themselves perched right inside the cavernous, wonderfully grotesque mouth of a wide-eyed green creature named Profitroll. The imagery is equal parts funny and gross in the best possible way, with yellowed teeth, a dripping tongue, and two tiny characters looking like they have some serious navigating to do. Dupuis keeps the beloved Belgian all-ages series going strong in 2024 with this cheerfully stomach-turning installment.
