Peter and Beetle venture from the Wheat Kingdom in search of wild blackberries to bring back for a feast, riding in a wagon pulled by Beetle. While harvesting berries from a giant plant, Peter cuts down an overripe berry that splashes on Beetle, and they continue collecting until the wagon is full. However, their journey back is obstructed by a magical force preventing them from passing a giant red flower, and they are further threatened by a giant crab that blocks their path. The story continues as Peter and Beetle must find a way to overcome these obstacles and return home with their harvest.
