Peter Rabbit #29
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis issue contains two separate stories. The first follows Peter Rabbit and his friends as they visit a shooting gallery run by Davy Crockett, then escape pursuit through the countryside after being spotted by armed men, eventually hiding in a cave where a prehistoric caveman mistakes them for food. The second story, "Found-by-a-Bird," tells of a woodchopper who discovers a baby boy in an eagle's nest, kills the eagle with his axe to rescue the child, and brings the boy home to his wife. The cobbler subplot depicts a shoemaker whose work is mysteriously completed overnight by helpful elves, allowing him to prosper and purchase fine leather for future projects.
Peter Rabbit learns he's finally on time to meet his friend Dazy, who rewards him by baking a pie for her cooking class—but when Peter mistakenly eats it before the contest, he scrambles to find a replacement. His quick fix backfires in spectacular fashion, leading to unexpected consequences that neither he nor Dazy saw coming.
Spotty the Pup is determined to catch a rocket to the moon, but every vessel he encounters is already packed to capacity—until he spots a window washer at work and gets an idea that just might solve his transportation problem.
