☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains three stories featuring animal and fantasy characters. "Sunday Driver" follows Peter Rabbit as he pilots a space ship that crashes, leading to comedic encounters in space. "Cicero and Timmy in The Witch's Brew" shows the two mice attempting to use music to charm a little mouse, with humorous results involving a piano. "Uncle Ezra's Storyland" presents "The Magic Castle," a fairy tale about a wizard's enchanted castle suspended between earth and sky, a kidnapped princess, and a king's soldiers attempting a rescue, along with a separate fable about a wealthy farmer whose magical breeches are lost to the wind, teaching a lesson about the impermanence of material wealth.
Peter takes a delivery job at a spooky old mansion on the edge of town to earn money for a special gift, but stumbles straight into the middle of a mail robbery scheme—and discovers he's the only one who can stop it. With nothing but his wits and a well-timed carrot, Peter must outwit the crooks, save the day, and still make it back in time to present his carefully planned surprise.
Cicero the cat seeks help from a witch to deal with his troublesome neighbor Timmy the mouse, who's been driving him to distraction—but the magical brew intended to solve his problem doesn't quite work out the way he planned. What follows is a series of escalating mishaps as the potion creates chaos instead of peace, turning the tables on the scheming cat in ways both hilarious and painful.
Peter and his friend Dazy get pulled into their television set by a mysterious guide and taken on a wild tour through Television Land, where they meet the King of all television and encounter various TV characters and programs. When the King decides to put them on a quiz show, things take a chaotic turn as they struggle with increasingly difficult questions and electrical pranks. Peter and Dazy must find their way back home before the King's entertainment gets the better of them.
Sparky Smith inherits the I.Q. Ranch from his Uncle Charlie and arrives with his companion Cheeta to find the spread in trouble—bandits have stolen all the cattle, and the foreman's been letting the ranch hands slack off. When Sparky rides to town to form a posse and track down the thieves, he'll have to outsmart sabotage and face off against desperate criminals determined to stop him. It's a wild western adventure packed with action, humor, and the kind of scrappy determination you'd expect from a young ranch owner who won't back down.
