Peter Rabbit and his friend venture to the village hoping to stir up some fun, where they encounter Mr. Chuck-Now, who is mending a fence and offers them a job painting it for payment. The rabbits accept the work and complete the painting task. Later, the visible pages show an anthology story titled "Tizzy" by Mal Eaton, in which a young boy attempts to secretly take fruit to a character named Tizzy without the knowledge of a woman named Titzy, leading to comic misadventures involving illness and deception about the fruit's origin.
