Peter Panda #23
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1957 DC charmer finds Peter Panda and friends gathered around a "Mak-A-Wish Well," where a blonde girl in pink, a red-haired boy, and a mischievous little fox creature are all caught up in the wishing-well fun — coins apparently flying through the air as the sign cheerfully instructs visitors to "toss plenty of coins in the well" with eyes closed. Martin Naydel handles every creative role here, and his warm, bouncy cartoon style gives the whole scene an irresistible storybook energy. At ten cents, this was wholesome, lighthearted entertainment perfectly suited to young readers of 1957.
