“So Swears Krater, the Demolishing Man!”

Issue five of DC's 1993 Peter Cannon — Thunderbolt series puts the titular hero in immediate danger, as the cover shows a massive, blue-and-purple-clad bruiser known as Krater hauling the blond, blue-caped Thunderbolt off his feet with a crushing grip. Mike Collins and José Marzán Jr. make the size disparity between the two fighters feel genuinely threatening, with Krater's enormous gloved fist dominating the foreground. The tagline "…Challenged by Krater, the Demolishing Man!" leaves little doubt that Peter Cannon is in for one of his toughest confrontations yet.
