Dick and Ellen tell Judge Cameron they want a separation. After Dick’s father dies, his mother moves in with the couple. Ellen feels Mrs. Blair is trying to take over the house, and Dick believes she is making his mother feel unwanted. Judge Cameron says perhaps Mrs. Blair can go into “an institution for the aged,” but Dick and Ellen don’t want that. They realize Dick’s mother needs to feel wanted and was only trying to help. Dick and Ellen reconcile and Dick’s mother will continue to have a home with them.
