Pep Comics #2 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "The Shield" depicts the patriotic hero battling enemies aboard a ship. "Sir Rocket" follows the character as he fights overwhelming adversaries, is injected with a drug-making formula that renders him helpless, and is led toward a queen's chamber where he faces further peril. "Sergeant Boyle" shows the military man confronting Dutch enemies and using tactics like grenades and diversionary maneuvers to capture them and tie them to a headquarters car. "Prince Buttonhead" by Skin Plant is a humorous tale in which the diminutive prince attempts to rescue the Sleeping Beauty from her tower, repeatedly encountering obstacles and misunderstandings before finally waking her after sleeping too long.
