In "Hold the Wire Please," Archie and Jughead rig a speaker inside a hollow tree, enlisting Coach Kleats to test the setup with a dramatic reading. As the coach begins reciting poetry, the boys pull the speaker out—leaving him mid-sentence, talking to thin air and looking utterly bewildered.

In "Help Wanted," Archie’s down in the dumps after Betty and Veronica leave town, leaving him feeling out of sorts. Jughead, determined to cheer him up, drags him to an art museum and then the movies, but no matter where they go, Archie can’t stop noticing the girls around him—his usual distractions now just remind him of what’s missing.

In "Net Regret," Betty and Veronica team up to sharpen their tennis game, hoping to partner with Archie in the big championship. Their hard work pays off—too well—when they’re both promoted to a higher-level tournament, leaving Archie to pair with someone else.
