This November 1969 Archie Series issue delivers a perfectly timed three-panel gag right on its cover: Archie and Veronica proudly sport matching red vests at Pop's diner, only for the punchline to land when those vests end up with perfectly matching pizza stains — much to Pop's amusement. The sunny beach scene crowning the top of the cover, packed with the familiar Riverdale gang in their swimwear, adds an extra burst of carefree 1960s charm to round out the package.
