Caroline Cash's Ignatz Award-winning series reaches issue sixty-nine with a cover that perfectly captures its offbeat charm: a figure in a light blue outfit and yellow shoes reclines across a nighttime cityscape, laughing uproariously ("HA HA HA HA!!!") while reading a copy of the very comic in hand — a delightful bit of self-referential wit set against glowing brick buildings and streetlamps. The low-angle perspective makes the whole urban scene feel delightfully warped, with a small monkey perched nearby adding to the gleeful absurdity.
